Find a small local computer store or repair business. They often have old versions of software because they are still supporting customers using them. At the small repair business they may have old computers that customers had upgraded from that include OEM Office that you could now use.

You could buy it online. Be very careful who you give your money to. I just got a hand-me-down laptop from a family member.

They had Microsoft Office installed. I tried to uninstall it and install the version. However, the different service packs confused me and I wasn't sure what to download. After researching the error, I came across this post. INstalling Sp3 only produces the following message "This update has already been installed or in included in an update that has already been applied". So it seems the app is in some sort of purgatory state - it cant be uninstalled, repaired or re-installed!

That produced "This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows Installer patch package". I am at a loss here. Office Service pack 3. Thread starter geno Start date Sep 25, Local time Today, Joined Jun 19, Messages Hi, I just installed the office service pack 3, I then opened a database I'm working on and the combo boxes don't show any records.

They are there but can't see any of the records. After uninstalling the service pack the data now shows. Has anyone had this problem? And if so did you get it fixed.
